I have worked on two projects for local small businesses in Norfolk since I graduated.
Solar Wash, Inc.: The first is a website for Solar Wash, Inc., a car wash chain in the area. I made a basic website for Solar Wash, using HTML, CSS, and some Javascript.. It contains a slideshow of images from the car wash locations, a brief description of the car wash’s history, a locations page to help guide customers to each location with google maps, contact information, and a place to post any promotions that are offered.
Wood Vending Services: I am currently working on a website for a Vending Services company in Norfolk using HTML, CSS, and some PHP.
Internships:
Kerus Global Education February 2008-April 2008 Harrisonburg, VA
I spent a semester updating the Kerus Global Education website. In that time, I inserted new information into outdated sections, and implemented some new sections such as a photo gallery and videos using HTML, CSS, Flash, and Javascript. (www.kerusglobal.org)

I interned in the Graphics department of MPRI, a government contracting company. I developed a web site for the United States Army Field Band using HTML, CSS, and Flash. I also did some print graphic work for CMI, a group within MPRI.
Projects:
Kayak HD Video Switcher Tutorial Spring 2009 Harrisonburg, VA
As a part of a group, I helped create an interactive tutorial for the new HD Video Switcher in the SMAD TV studio. We used Flash with Actionscript to create the tutorial that teaches new users the basic functions of the switcher. You can see this tutorial in action on my portfolio website.
Portfolio Project Spring 2009 Harrisonburg, VA
This is my own interactive tutorial website. I gathered all of the important projects that I have completed over the years, and put them together into my online interactive portfolio at www.ddaviddickenson.com. I created the entire site in Flash, using Actionscript. I have since updated the site, and converted it from a fully flash site to a purely HTML and CSS site with some Javascript and PHP includes.
